Not as good as the first. Still really hilarious. This movie could have been the funniest movie ever made if Chris Tucker was in it too.
<em>'Next Friday'</em> disappoints, which isn't a surprise given the absence of Chris Tucker. The first film worked because of the two lead actors, so taking out one (esp. Tucker) was always going to make a sequel fall flat; especially without finding an adequate replacement. Ice Cube is OK and is the best part, if only via a process of elimination. Mike Epps didn't do it for me, his character is annoying. Of the newbies, Kym Whitley is the only one that comes close to working. Lisa Rodríguez's Karla is woefully written, as are the entire "Jokers" to be honest.
