With these three shorts, he once again captures the essence of who "we" are, and with the very same brush strokes, also the zen of "there is no judgement, only consequence". I'm leaning toward the belief that Hamaguchi is the modern son of the wabi-sabi movement.
Like a Matryoshka doll, this film moves from one story to the next, revealing layer after layer, each more intricate and captivating than the last.
